About The Designer

Hi all! I’m Kris and own Crafts by Kris, so no clever story about how I came up with it but it works. I’ve always been a doodler, especially in high school. I took up craft fairs with painted shelf-sitter cutouts in the mid 1990’s, switched to hanging signs in 2013 and opened my Etsy shop in 2017.

I live in the Chicago suburbs with my husband and have 3 daughters. I work full time at my family’s print shop and paint in my free time (what’s that?!). I love a sassy phrase, clean brushes and sending happy mail. I’m excited to share my designs with you and hope that they make you and your customers smile. Now go wash your favorite brush and let’s paint!
