LA Homespun Designs
My name is Lee Anne of LA Homespun Designs and I’m thrilled to share my joy for painting with you! As a wife of 39 years and a former minister’s wife for 25 of those wonderful years, my life has always revolved around family.
I'm a mom to two amazing adult children, a Nana to six little ones, and a dog mom to a senior Australian Shepherd, a Great Pyrenees mix, and a mini Dachshund. You might even see glimpses of Reese, the Doxie, reflected in my door hangers. Each week, about the months out of the year, I’m passing along my love of creativity with four of my grands that live here in town. We draw, paint, learn crochet and sometimes bake.
I began my painting journey in the mid-‘90s, inspired by the work of talented artists like Renee Mullins and Karen Stone. However, life took me on a detour, and I stepped away from painting for several years. It wasn’t until 2020 that I picked up a brush again, fueled by a new desire to create. I updated my previous iPad just so I could use the Procreate app and dove headfirst into the world of digital design and learning to craft fun, vibrant door hangers.
My artistic style leans toward the whimsical, often incorporating verses of scripture, and I can’t resist a splash of bright colors and a sprinkle of glitter! Each design is crafted with love, hope, and joy, and I sincerely hope that you find joy in painting my creations too. Thank you so much for stopping by to support my art.
